Musical Theatre scenes, songs, and dances from CATS, JR will be developed using traditional acting, singing, and dancing techniques along with Nitty Gritty Theatre technique. Characters from this popular musical production will come to life on stage. Performers will work with Southwestern College graduates and musical theatre performers and teachers, Carter Humphreys and Emily Robinson to develop acting, singing, and dancing performance skills and social and self-awareness. They will perform a musical theatre review of their work on Friday, June 7th at 5:00 pm at the Marquee Performing Arts Center, 1007 Main Street. Those taking the class may also become members of the CATS, JR musical will be in performance June 22 and 23 at the Marquee Performing Arts Center.
